Spotted! Doctor Who
The TARDIS is spotted at about 1:48. The Doctor is in his 4th (?) incarnation in the video. I found the video while scouring Coachella’s lineup.
Song: The Sweetest Thing
Artist: Camera Obscura!
Yeah, I like them a lot.
*Side Note: The blog is starting up again. It’s not really going to be the same as it was before, but I’ve been liking the idea of a blog recently. Plus, I really, really like the name, so I figure I’ll still use it. Lastly, I’m not a huge fan of the old posts I wrote back in the day, so do yourself a favor and DON’T look at those. They’re really embarrassing.
40 Has Never Been So Fab- Wait for It- ulous!

I have just discovered the Sonia Rykiel 40th Anniversary collection, and it is amazing. I finally get Bryan Boy’s obsession with the designer. Feast your eyes on my favorite pictures from her 40th Anniversary bash.
Two for the price of one!!! Yah!!!

Now onto the Sonia/Designer Collaborations….

Happy Late Memorial Day!!!

Hats!

Please don’t steal this drawing. It took a really, really long time to do. So, please, don’t steal it.
OTHER NOTES!!!!!!
Chester French and Coldplay both have free albums on their websites. Get them. Now.
NPR Live Concerts Podcast has free concert recordings from bands like the Ting Tings, She & Him, Bishop Allen, Ra Ra Riot, Death Cab for Cutie, among others. It’s better than the all songs considered podcast, at least in my opinion.
Shakespeare Revisited, a BBC series, is amazing. It’s classic Shakespeare stories done in a modern setting. It’s definitely worth checking out.
Well, Toodles!! More drawings up soon.

Chicago, Among Other Things.

Was in Chicago this weekend. A recount of the day I spent there.
- Helped out with Night Ministry. Well, not really help out, but more listened to someone talk about Night Ministry, then go out and the streets of Chicago and see what it would be like to be homeless. Questions we pondered included where we would spend the night, get something to eat for $5 or less, and if we could go in a restaurant and get a glass of water. Very depressing, and it makes me even more thankful to have a rood over my head and be able to just sit down in a chair and blog about stuff while watching Pride and Prejudice.
- Ate Giobarnio’s pizza. Delish.
-Millenium Park!!!!!

Millenium Park is so wonderful. It’s great.

P.S. I’m an Elizabeth Bennet. What are you?
Take the Quiz here!
I love Amelie. One of the best movies ever. However, this short film, (directed by the same dude who directed Amelie, as well as starring Ms. Audrey Tautou) is kinda disturbing. I love this imagery and picture composition, and he obviously can make a lovely shot. But honestly? I just don’t get the whole stalking thing. Kinda ridiculous, don’t ya think??

April Showers Bring May Flowers!

This weekend was a really chill, very mild weekend, complete with copious amounts of travel books, Julia Child, NPR Live Concert Podcasts, and of course, pictures and drawings of flowers!! Here are some of my better pictures.

The picture above is from last Monday, when it was really blah outside. Horrible pictures.
There aren’t that many great magnolia pictures, because I didn’t find the flower focus button fast enough. Sad.
Sketches coming soon!!!

Flaming Cheesballs!!!!

Picture from llamabutchers.com
We burned cheesballs yesterday in Science Class. Not how it will help me in my career as fashion savvy writer living in Prague or Paris, but hey. It was fun.
This is my cheeseball genesis drawing. I think it deserves an A, don’t you??? You can see the cheeseball starting out in it’s cheesy state, non-burned, then getting crisper and crisper until the collection turns into something you’d wear to Karl’s funeral. Actually, you’d probably be forced to wear Chanel or Fendi or something to his funeral, so……….. BTW, sorry in advance that the bodies are realistic or anything. I draw clothes. Not people.
Ask my friends. Any of them.

Philosophical Notes On Being A Teenager

The World Seems More Beautiful When You’re A Teenager.
I mean, not in Most Hormonal State Ever, of course, where it’s decided to have a three day thunder and lightening spas attack. (Although, it didn’t rain all that much today, although it was rather muddy) But everywhere else. For example, Prague looks so beautiful! It’s a cooler, more undiscovered version of Paris. Also, all my clothes seem more beautiful. Especially this shirt, which is a birthday present. Merci Beaucoup Mama et Papa.

Anyway, I haven’t had any like, uber big revelations since my birthday. It’s just been stuff like ‘I’m A Teenager! I can sleep all day!’ This is a sorta large revelation I suppose, but honestly all day I’ve just been more worried about a Youth Orchestra tryout (I play the cello, FYI) that I haven’t had time to grasp it all. I mean I have grasped getting Miu Miu sunglasses (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) of course, but you know…..
I would like to thank this post to thank everyone who’s supported me in my blogging endevors since like September. Also, my padre is letting me post pictures of my outfits up online now. So yeah. I can now become like a fashion guru or something. I’ll have to get a turban.
